Canyon View Credit Union awards $30,000 in scholarships every year to help students at any stage of their educational journey. We know success looks different for everyone, so we’re proud to support Utah students based on their unique experiences, goals, and dedication to moving forward.

Who is eligible?

Members of Canyon View Credit Union who are:

Incoming, current, or returning students at:

University of Utah
Westminster University
Salt Lake Community College
Utah Tech University
Any accredited college or university

Enrolled full-time or part-time
Students in any program or area of study
Open to all students of all ages

Application Details

Submit an essay in 150 words or fewer answering the following:

Every student’s path is different. Share a part of your story that you feel best represents your educational journey so far and how this will shape your future path.

We accept one application per individual each semester
If you are selected, we will contact you with further details
You may receive only one scholarship over the course of your collegiate career
If you were not selected, we encourage you to apply again with a new essay response

Participation: The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to eligible
credit union members for the purpose of supporting their higher education expenses. To qualify for this
scholarship, you must be a current member of Canyon View Credit Union and an enrolled student at any
accredited university or college in our field of membership. Awardees may only receive one scholarship over
the course of their collegiate career. Scholarship funds will be deposited into the recipients’ accounts to
be used as they deem necessary for their schooling needs. Awardees are determined by a committee of Canyon
View Credit Union employees. Selection is made without regard to applicant’s race, color, national origin,
religious belief, sex, marital status, age, sexual orientation, or disability. Must qualify for membership
and have valid SSN/ITIN. A minimum balance of $10 in primary savings must be maintained. All applicable
taxes, including any federal, state, or local tax liabilities are the sole responsibility of the winner(s).
