Canyon View Credit Union Annual Meeting

As a valued member of Canyon View Credit Union, you’re invited to join us for our Annual Meeting. This event is a chance to celebrate our shared successes and hear about our vision for the future. Together, we’ll reflect on the past year and look forward to the opportunities ahead. 

 

In conjunction with the Annual Meeting, an election for the Canyon View Credit Union Board of Directors will be held. The Nominating Committee has made the following nominations:  

Terry Turner – Incumbent 

I have been a member of Canyon View Credit Union for more than 42 years.  I have served as a volunteer for the credit union on both the Credit Committee and Board of Directors for more than 36 years.  I worked for the University of Utah Hospitals & Clinics for 39 years prior to retirement.  My responsibilities included department management and supervision; contract oversight; and management of the procurement of equipment, supplies, and services for all University of Utah Hospitals & Clinics entities. I would be honored to continue my service to our members.  

Colleen Lindstrom – Incumbent 

I retired from Pioneer Theatre Company at the University of Utah in 2017 after 44 years as the Patron Services Manager. I have been a member of Canyon View Credit Union for 49 years, joining in January 1977. In 1995, I was asked to serve on the credit union’s Supervisory Committee. During my time on the committee, I served as the Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, and Secretary. I was officially elected to the Board of Directors in April 2020, after serving since January 2020. It would be an honor to continue to be of service to the credit union’s members.

James Prince – Retired

I have spent over 40 years in the fields of accounting and financial management as Controller, Vice President, and Chief Financial Officer. I have an accounting degree and was licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in 1983 and received the Certified Management Accountant designation in 1987. I worked in the savings and loan, consumer finance, and leasing fields prior to coming to the credit union in 2000. I have been a member of Canyon View Credit Union for 25 years and was an employee for 23 of those years before retiring as Chief Financial Officer in 2024. I was involved with the rest of executive management in all aspects of lending, savings, and the general operation of the credit union. As CFO, I was the Chairman of the Asset Liability Committee and responsible for all financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and investment management. It would be an honor to continue serving as a member of the Board of Directors.

_{Voting will be held at the Annual Meeting. Nominations from the floor will not be accepted. Members interested in running for the Board of Directors must submit a petition to the Secretary of the Board signed by 500 Canyon View Credit Union members by the close of business on February 14, 2026. The petition must be accompanied by a completed Statement of Qualification form as well as an Acceptance Certification signed by the nominee. These forms and petition requirements must be picked up from the Credit Union’s main office and are available beginning the first business day of January 2026.}
